Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:

  1. Yesterday, a man claiming to be armed inside of a business near the 2500 block of South Interstate 35, near Batteries Plus and Home Depot, was taken into custody by Round Rock Police. SWAT and RRPD arrived on the scene and those inside the business as well as some nearby businesses were evacuated as a precaution. (KXAN)
  2. The City of Round Rock and representatives of Velvet Taco have confirmed that a new Velvet Taco location is coming to Round Rock soon. Rock Creek Plaza was named as a possible location. A target opening date has not yet been set. (Community Impact Newspaper)
