September Is Library Card Sign Up Month At RR Public Library
The Round Rock Public Library announces September is Library Card Sign Up Month offering residents access to a host of materials, resources.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Round Rock residents are reminded that September is Library Card Sign up Month, and encourage community members to consider getting their own library card to gain access to technology, resources and services designed to help you pursue passions and interests. The Round Rock Public Library card offers opportunities to check out movies, audiobooks, eBooks, music and more. More information is available at roundrocktexas.gov/library.
The Round Rock Public Library recently announced area residents logged more than 16,000 hours for its Summer Reading Program. Readers accomplished reaching the Library's goal of 1 million points during this year's Summer Reading Program, which translates to over 16,000 hours of reading. As a result of the goal being met, the Library's support organization, Friends of RRPL, generously donated $250 each to the Round Rock Area Serving Center and to the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. Top readers also earned gift cards donated by Friends of RRPL.
Additionally, the Round Rock Public Library was awarded a $2,500 Texas Book Festival grant for a second year in a row. The grant enables the library to purchase more Wonderbooks and for projects enhancing the library's collection and contribute to advancing the love of reading. Wonderbooks are printed books with a ready-to-play audiobook inside the cover, and as a result of the grant award, 53 Wonderbooks will be purchased for readers ages 3-12. Parents and caregivers are invited to visit the library to check out a Wonderbook for their child to enjoy.
