- Round Rock City Council will discuss an economic development agreement with Switch Ltd. on Dec. 15. The agreement will allow the "data center to earn back half of the sales tax revenue it generates for the city by being paid 50% of the $0.01 sales tax revenue remitted to the city by the Texas comptroller." This incentive structure is based on performance. (Community Impact Newspaper)
- Don't throw away your unwanted Christmas string lights! Round Rock Recycling Center is accepting them through Jan. 31 at the following locations: Round Rock Library, Baca Center, and Utility and Environmental Services. Visit City of Round Rock for further tips on proper recycling and more locations to recycle string lights.
- Formerly known as Sugar Daddy's, Legends Bar opened Dec. 12 after a re-brand decided by the original restaurant owner, Martin Salyer. The eatery's new theme is based on the historical incident of the murder of Deputy A.W. Grimes by Sam Bass and his gang, which happened inside this very building. (Community Impact Newspaper)

- Wildlife Warning! "Please, do not touch dead animals! A deceased raccoon in Cedar Park, TX tested positive for rabies. There are no reported human cases currently." Wildlife can be cute and tempting to pet, but it isn't necessarily a safe gesture to attempt. More information on rabies can be found on the CDC website. - Round Rock Arts is exhibiting Fantastical Fiber Art: The deadline for submissions is Dec. 19 at 5 p.m. "Creative definitions of “fiber” are welcome! Traditional forms such as fabric, yarn, basket weaving, macrame, embroidery, and knitting are acceptable, as well as newer definitions using plant and animal fibers." (Round Rock Arts Facebook)
