A Travis County judge approved an out-of-court settlement that recognizes the longtime relationship between two Austin women as a common law marriage.<a href="http://www.mystatesman.com/news/news/over-ken-paxton-objection-judge-oks-gay-marriage-s/nnfyj/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">The Austin American-Statesman reports</a> that the ruling was part of a settlement over the estate of Stella Powell, who died of cancer last year.
