Here are the top three stories today in Round Rock:

1. On Monday, Jul. 11, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) shared part of the Texas School Marshal Program at Round Rock ISD's Walsh Middle School. TCOLE wants to increase the awareness and availability of the program, which encourages school employees to have a license to carry a firearm to protect the school. (CBS Austin)
2. Round Rock ISD's Back to School Celebration is on Aug. 6 from 10:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m. at Stony Point High School, located at 1801 Tiger Trail in Round Rock. RRISD is looking for volunteers to help families navigate the event, assist with activity areas, clean-up crew, and set-up crew. (Round Rock ISD News)
3. On Monday, Jul. 11, Round Rock lifeguards won first place honors at the Central Texas Aquatics Association Competition at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels. On Aug. 1, the team will compete for the state title at the State of Texas Lifeguard Competition in Brenham. (City of Round Rock)
