Here are the top stories in Round Rock today:
- Round Rock's very own John Urban gives everyone a simple, yet big perspective on life: Pursue curiosity at any age. Urban, a retired minister, is also well known as the "Train Doctor" and works at King's Hobby restoring model trains. What once was just a hobby has become a life theme for Urban, and he hopes that as people grow old, that they don't lose their "childlike excitement." Check out this endearing video of Urban on Texas Monthly.
- Round Rock Express released its 2023 promotional schedule for seven upcoming home games. Tuesday will feature $2 taco specials, $1 hot dogs on Wednesdays, discounted domestic beers on "Thirsty Thursdays," fireworks after each Friday home game, contests and giveaways on Saturdays, and Kids Day on Sundays. Other one-time themed game nights will include: Education Day, Pints & Pups, Military Appreciation and Wizarding Night. Lots more to check out on MiLB!
- A line crew from Alabama assisted the Oncor team to restore power on Lime Rock Drive on Feb. 6 to residents who were without power since Wednesday of last week. Oncor reports that most of Williamson's power is back on. (John Krinjack FOX 7 Twitter)
