WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — County officials are touting a unique holiday outing for residents can pose with an area park's wildly popular denizens — donkeys Lil Bob and Pedro.

Residents are invited to bring along their cameras or cell phones to Berry Springs Park and Preserve on Saturday (Dec. 5) to take pictures of the sure-footed creatures who call the park their home away from home The photo opportunity is courtesy of the “Friends of Berry Springs Park and Preserve” from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Photos can be taken in front of the "Donkey Compound" at the old barn by the first parking lot in the park located at 1801 C.R. 152, in Georgetown, Texas. There will be a decorated staging area where volunteers will work with the donkeys so they are included in the photos background. Coronavirus protocols will be in place, officials noted.

The "Friends of Berry Springs Park and Preserve" is a not-for-profit organization with a mission is to support Berry Springs Park and Preserve, officials described. In addition to helping with photos, county officials added, volunteers will give details regarding the new organization and how to become a "Friend of Berry Springs Park and Preserve" to help keep the park a truly unique destination.
