The City of Round Rock warns residents about recent scammers who call and claim to be with "Utility Billing" for the city and then request credit card information for outstanding water bills to avoid service being cut off. Round Rock's Utility Billing Department uses an automated system to notify customers of an outstanding balance and "does not take credit card information outside of the City’s established payment systems." Please call the City Utility Billing Department at 512-218-5460 to confirm the validity of any overdue bill calls or notices. (City of Round Rock)
  2. The Round Rock Police Department believes the occupants of a gray SUV caught on camera in a deadly drive-by shooting on Apr. 20 in the 1600 block of Pine Knoll Drive in Austin are connected to the Apr. 19 homicide that happened in the 1600 block of Gattis School Road in Round Rock. RRPD asks anyone with information regarding these incidents to call 512-218-3260 or email jrowe@roundrocktexas.gov. (KEYE TV CBS Austin)
  3. At around 6 a.m. yesterday, Jun. 14, a person was killed in a deadly auto-pedestrian crash in Round Rock. I-35 southbound at Grand Avenue Parkway was shut down for investigation and re-opened at around 9:00 a.m. yesterday. (FOX 7 Austin)
