Virtual Event Supports Families With Students With Disabilities
Central Texas ISDs and state, local and county agencies will host upcoming Destination...Life Transition Fair & Conference as a Zoom event.
ROUND ROCK, TX—Central Texas families are invited to learn more about how to prepare and support their student(s) with disabilities for life beyond high school. Central Texas ISD's will host Destination...Life Regional Transition Virtual Fair and Conference assists families in gathering information and gain access to experts on ways to help their child from early childhood through high school to successfully transition to adulthood.
The 2021 fair and conference will be held as a virtual experience amid the pandemic and is scheduled to take place Saturday, March 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom. Families will be able to access virtual presentation and important Q&A sessions with professionals and specialists in their fields, with sessions available to audiences in English and Spanish.

- Guardianship and Alternatives
- How To Apply for Certain Benefits at Age 18
State, local and county agencies and service providers will be on-hand to discuss their programs and services in a range of areas from disability-related nonprofit and for-profit companies to colleges and job training programs and more.
The Destination…Life Regional Transition Fair and Conference is made possible through the cooperation of special education educators from Austin, Eanes, Georgetown, Hutto, Lake Travis, Leander, Pflugerville, and Round Rock Independent School Districts and the East Williamson County Cooperative (Coupland, Granger, Taylor, and Thrall Independent School Districts.)
