Virtual Storytime Highlights The Importance Of Diversity

Celebrate Diversity is an online family program designed to educate kids about how our differences and similarities connect us.

ROUND ROCK, TX — Enjoy a morning of virtual story times and hands-on activities for kids from the comfort and safety of home with Virtual Storytime: Celebrate Diversity hosted by the Bullock Texas State History Museum. The virtual event is an opportunity to celebrate the similarities and differences that connect us all, as kids are read The Colors of Us by Karen Katz.

Scheduled Thursday, Sept. 24 beginning at 10 a.m., participants will enjoy hands-on activities with homemade play dough, and an exploration of the ways we are the same even though we may look different from one another. Kids can follow along using their store bought or home made play dough and food coloring (optional).

The program is free to attend, and participants will be invited to either download the Zoom app to enjoy from a mobile device or desktop, or enjoy the livestream (Zoom account not required to join the livestream).
