Virus Cases In Williamson County Hit 541; No New Deaths
More than 300 county residents have recovered after contracting COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus.

ROUND ROCK, TEXAS — The number of Williamson County deaths tied to the new coronavirus remained steady Saturday, a day after the county reported its 21st fatality. Additionally, the number of new cases in the county jumped by 13, bringing the total illness count to 541.
On Friday, officials with the Williamson County and Cities Health District said the most recent resident to die from the respiratory illness was a man in his 90s. Privacy protection laws prohibit officials from releasing more details, they noted.

According to the dashboard, 301 patients have recovered after contracting COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. The current number of active cases is 219, according to the dashboard.

Health officials continue to urge those exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness — including cough, fever and shortness of breath — to contact their health care providers. However, health officials stress the importance of calling ahead before arriving at a clinic, urgent care or emergency department to avoid potential spread.
