WilCo Outlines Holiday Closure Schedule For County Offices
Residents are advised to check ahead of time before visiting county offices in light of the upcoming holidays.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County outlined its holiday closure schedule on Friday.
Williamson County offices will be closed on Christmas Eve on Thursday and the following Friday. County offices also will close on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. County officials invite residents to visit the county website www.wilco.org for updated information on each department and their hours of operation. It is also highly recommended that residents consider utilizing the online services that are being offered in each department to help reduce in-person contact and possible exposure to the coronavirus, officials said.
There will be no meeting of the Williamson County Commissioners Court meeting on Dec. 29 or on Jan. 5, officials said in an advisory. However, a special session of the Williamson County Commissioners Court is scheduled to take place on Jan. 1, 2021, following the Elected Official Induction Ceremony in the Commissioners Courtroom on the second floor of the historic courthouse at 710 S. Main St. in Georgetown, Texas.

The Williamson County Elections Office will be closed to the public from Monday through Jan. 1, 2021. For more information, visit the Elections website www.wilco.org/elections.
The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, 1855 S.E. Inner Loop in Georgetown, will be open Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Christmas Day. They will be open New Year’s Eve from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be closed New Year’s Day, except for emergency stray intake and pet reclaims from noon to 4 p.m. The shelter is operating on an appointment only basis. The shelter will have free adoptions for large adult dogs and cats to celebrate the holidays. To make an appointment, email adoption@wilco.org.
