WilCo Reports 98 New Coronavirus Cases, 3 More Deaths

The historical illness count is now 5,930, but the death count was lowered recently to reflect a new methodology.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Another 98 new cases of the coronavirus emerged in Williamson County on Tuesday, raising the historical illness count to 5,930. The fatality count now stands at 80.

The data are found in a statistical dashboard maintained by the Williamson County and Cities Health District. Currently, there are 61 patients hospitalized, including 28 being treated at intensive car units and 18 placed on ventilators to help them breathe.

Amid the ongoing reach of coronavirus, hospital resources continue to dwindle. According to the dashboard, 30 percent of hospital beds are available along with 24 percent of ICU beds. Ventilators are more plentiful, with a 73 percent availability.
