Willamson County Offices Closed On Labor Day

Local government will resume normal hours on Tuesday, Sept. 8, and the animal shelter will be open on the holiday with adoption deals.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day, officials said on Monday.

County offices will resume normal business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 8, according to a county advisory. Moreover, officials said the Williamson County Commissioners Court meeting originally scheduled for that day has been canceled.

The next meeting will be on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 9:30 a.m. in the commissioners' courtroom on the second floor of the historic courthouse, located at 710 S. Main St., in Georgetown, Texas. The meeting can be viewed live via the Williamson County home page, where those wishing to watch can hit the "live" tab.

While county offices will close, the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter will remain open in taking part in the Labor Day celebration by offering adoption specials which include:

  • Seniors (5+ years old) are free to adopt;
  • BOGO kittens for $75.
  • large adult dogs and cats for $25;
  • small dogs and puppies for $75.
