Here are the top three stories in Round Rock today:

1. On Sunday, Jul. 31, at about 6:00 p.m. a 14-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by vehicles that crashed into each other at the intersection of Louis Henna and La Frontera boulevards in Round Rock. Round Rock police said the people in the vehicles suffered minor injuries and one of the two vehicles that crashed was stolen. The driver of the stolen vehicle, 25-year-old Leandro Brito-Martinez, allegedly fled the scene on foot but was caught and arrested by RRPD. (KXAN)
2. Texas' annual August tax-free weekend for back-to-school shopping is Friday, Aug. 5, through Sunday, Aug. 7. School supplies, most clothing, face masks, and diapers will be tax-free. 3. The Round Rock Express won 9 to 4 against the Sacramento River Cats at Dell Diamond on Sunday, Jul. 31. During the nine-game homestand, Round Rock Express had two series victories. In the first inning, Round Rock's DH J.P. Martinez hit his third home run in as many games. (OurSports Central)
