• Richey sworn in as Judge of 369th Judicial District Court (star-telegram.com) — A Rusk resident, Jonathan Richey, has been sworn in as judge of the 369th Judicial District Court serving Anderson, Cherokee and Leon counties, after appointment by Governor Abbott. Richey, formerly Cherokee County district attorney, remains closely tied to Rusk through service on the Rusk State Hospital volunteer council and the Rusk Education Foundation. His term runs through the end of 2026.
