Woman arrested in connection to deadly downtown Austin shooting (fox7austin.com) — A woman wanted in connection with a deadly downtown Austin bus stop shooting was arrested in Spring and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a murder charge. She is awaiting extradition to Travis County as Austin police continue investigating and seeking additional tips from the public.
   

4. Former Kansas State QB Michael Bishop returning to Big 12 as an assistant coach (kansascity.com) — A well-known former Kansas State quarterback, Michael Bishop, has been hired as an offensive assistant for the University of Houston after five seasons coaching at Legacy School of Sport Sciences in Spring. His move connects Spring’s high school football scene directly to a Big 12 program, especially since his former Spring-based quarterback Keisean Henderson just signed with Houston.
