District leaders cite lost federal funding, declining enrollment, and underused buildings, and say students will be rezoned to nearby elementary and middle schools to consolidate resources and maintain academic support.

β€’ Woman dies in North Harris County house fire (khou.com) β€” A woman died in a house fire Thursday on North Werrington Way in Spring, and investigators are still working to determine what caused the blaze. Spring Fire Department crews contained the flames to the living room, but EMS pronounced the victim dead at the scene, and officials have not yet released her identity while the investigation continues.
