Spring ISD Hosts National Night Out

SPRING, TX βThe Spring ISD Police Department will host its annual National Night Out celebration for Spring families and community members from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at the Spring ISD Police Department, 210 North Forest Blvd.
The event will include family entertainment, fun games, prizes, student safety activities, as well as voter and election day information.
The Spring ISD celebration is one of thousands happening across the country as part of the 35th Annual National Night Out to promote crime and drug prevention.

Spring ISD Chief of Police Victor Mitchell said he is excited to share resources for the community to become better informed of crime prevention tips.
βAs we celebrate National Night Out, the goal is to encourage positive engagement and continue building key relationships in the community to keep our neighborhoods and kids safe,β he said.

The night will emphasize the importance of neighborhood camaraderie and send a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and working together to keep their communities safe
The National Night Out website states, βThe event is a reflection of how hard communities are working and the value of strong police-community partnerships."
