Tomball Teen Is Hit By Pickup While Riding Bike From Work: Police

The driver of a pickup who allegedly hit a teenage bicyclist on his way home from work, likely won't be charged, police said.

TOMBALL, TX β€” A teenager who was riding his bicycle after leaving work at an area McDonald’s was critically injured Sunday night after he was hit by a pickup truck, according to police. The accident happened at about midnight at the intersection of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road and FM 2920 in Tomball.

Investigators said the teen had finished his shift and was riding a lane of traffic without any lights on his bicycle. The driver of the truck stayed with the teen until help arrived.

The teen was taken by LifeFlight to are area hospital and is listed in critical condition, officials said.

Police said the driver will probably not face criminal charges.
