1. Tarleton hosting urban agriculture classes in all campuses (dublincitizen.com) — Tarleton State is bringing its hands-on urban agriculture program directly to Stephenville, with local participants working garden plots on campus while taking online coursework. Orientation starts January 31, 2026, and applications for the limited-space spring cohort are open through December 19, giving Stephenville community members a chance to learn organic, regenerative farming close to home.
   

2. Stephenville City Council: Council approves zoning change (dublincitizen.com) — Stephenville residents will see new multi-family townhomes on Frey Street after the city council approved a zoning change, despite earlier opposition from the Planning and Zoning Commission and nearby neighbors. Council also greenlit industrial zoning for newly annexed land, major funding for a Lillian ground storage tank, and emergency sewer and parking lot repairs near the Rec Hall.
   

3. MusicRow Reveals Next Big Thing Artists Class Of 2026 (musicrow.com) — One of country music’s buzziest new names, Hudson Westbrook, proudly hails from Stephenville and is being touted by Rolling Stone as nearly a bona fide star. The Texas Tech student has already scored Texas radio hits, topped streaming charts, and is now headlining sold-out tours nationwide, all while leaning into the traditional country sound he grew up with in Stephenville.
   

4. Paul Curtis Greene (bentoncountyenterprise.com) — Stephenville readers are mourning longtime resident Paul Curtis Greene, who passed away at home on December 4 at age 90, surrounded by family. A devoted husband, father, minister, and coach, he leaves behind loved ones in Stephenville and beyond, including his wife Kay, son Scott and wife Lawna, and granddaughter Lauren, all of Stephenville.
   

5. VIDEO: No. 2 Wall collides with No. 3 Gunter in state semifinal rematch (conchovalleyhomepage.com) — A major high school football state semifinal is coming to Stephenville this Friday night, with Wall facing Gunter for a spot in the Class 3A Division II title game. Wall is seeking revenge after last year’s loss and believes stronger chemistry and experience can push them over the top. Expect an intense, playoff-atmosphere showdown at 6 p.m. CST.
