$15,000 Reward Offered For Suspects In Fireworks Stand Robbery

The reward for a July 5 armed robbery has been increased fro, $5,000 to $15,000.

SUGAR LAND, TX -- The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about the aggravated robbery of a fireworks stand that was committed last week. The owner of the fireworks stand has increased the reward from $5,000 to $15,000 to help find those responsible.

Officials said that on July 5, at about 1:40 a.m., two armed men assaulted and robbed the employees of The Fantasy Fireworks, located at 127 Crabb River Road in the Richmond area.

The two robbers, who witnesses described as being in their late teens or early 20s, approached the RV where employees were staying and demanded cash from them. Once the robbers had the money, they jumped over a fence at the 100 block of Brazos Gardens Drive.

The first suspect is an Hispanic male, approximately 5-feet, 4-inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket with a white stripe on the sleeves and he had on blue jeans and was wearing a mask.

The second suspect is described as a black male approximately 6-feet tall and weighing 230 pounds. He was wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and a mask.

β€œThis kind of robbery makes my blood boil,” said Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls. β€œAn armed robbery during one our biggest holidays is as low as one can get.”
