Father And Child Injured During Violent Home Invasion

A man was pistol-whipped and a 7-year-old child was burned during a violent hour-long home invasion Monday morning.

RICHMOND, TX — Police are looking for three masked men who kicked in the front door of a Fort Bend County home, pistol-whipped the family's father and poured hot water on one of the children during a violent home invasion.

The incident happened shortly after 3 a.m., at a home on Kenton Crossing Lane.

Investigators were called to an urgent care clinic at about 4 a.m. where they met with the victims of he attack.

The witnesses told sheriff's investigators that three men kicked in the front door of their home at about 3 a.m., and began pistol-whipping the man inside the home, and demanding money.

According to a KHOU report, the masked men used the couple's children to force them to hand over valuables and money, and even placed one of the children in hot water during the attack.

The child and the man were taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Investigators said the three men got away with jewelry and cell phones.

Police are examining surveillance video fro neighborhood cameras as they gather evidence.
