Fort Bend County Offices Closed For National Day Of Mourning
County offices will he closed on Wednesday to honor President George H.W. Bush during the National Day of Mourning.

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX — Local and state offices in Fort Bend County will be closed on Wednesday in honor of President George H.W. Bush who died on Nov. 30 at the age of 94.
President Donald Trump declared Dec. 5 a national day of mourning in honor of Bush, and many Texas communities , particularly those in the Houston area.
“President Bush was an amazing man, a man who followed a successful business career with decades of devoted service to our nation at many levels,” County Judge Robert E. Hebert said in a news release. “He is now gone from the scene, but I am convinced that history will be very kind to George Herbert Walker Bush. May God bless his soul.”

Bush was the 41st President of the United States, and was affectionately referred to as Bush 41, after his son, George W. Bush became the 43rd President of the United States in November 2000.
