Houston Man Confesses To Killing Girlfriend: Police

The family of a missing woman used the Find My Friends phone app to help police find her body in a Missouri City neighborhood, police said.

MISSOURI CITY, TEXAS – A 20-year-old Houston man is charged with murdering his 19-year-old girlfriend after police said he stuffed her body in the trunk of her car and abandoned it in a Missouri City neighborhood. Troy Parker is charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse, police said.

Parker, who is accused of killing Sabrina Herrera at his home in the 8400 block of Quail Run in Houston on Monday, allegedly confessed to the murder, according to police.

Herrera was reported missing by her family on Monday after police say they used the Find My Friends iPhone app to track her to the 1600 block of Bent Oak in Missouri City.

Police went to the area where they found her car, police said. The officer who found the car discovered the woman’s body in the trunk, according to police.

Investigators were able to determine that Parker was the last person to see Herrera alive, and took him in custody for questioning. Police said Parker confessed to the killing, as well as hiding her body in the trunk and parking the car.

Police said they will release the official cause of death when an autopsy is completed.

Parker was taken to the Fort Bend County Jail and being held without bond.
