Early Voting Ends In Missouri City Runoff Elections
Early voting in Missouri City's runoff election for mayor and city council At-Large Position 2 ended Tuesday. Election day is Dec. 8.

MISSOURI CITY -- Unless you are keeping up with the politics in the suburbs, you may not know that early voting ended in Missouri City in two important city council races. Early voting began on Nov. 26 in the mayoral race between incumbent Allen Owen and challenger Yolanda Ford, and the Position 2 council race between incumbent Chris Preston and challenger Susan Soto.
During the Nov. 6 general election, none of the candidates received a majority vote of 50.1 percent, which meant there had to be a runoff.
In the mayor's race, Owen, who has served as mayor of Missouri City for more than two decades, is running against Ford, who previously served on the city council.
