Police Investigate 3 Robberies Committed Near Katy Mills Mall

KATY, TX — Three armed robberies committed near the Katy Mills Mall on Saturday has the Katy Police Department on high alert. In a press release issued Monday, officials said three armed robberies were committed within just a few miles of the mall, with one of the robberies committed at the mall.

All the robberies were committed between 8:50 p.m. and 9:37 p.m., according to police.

Witnesses told police that three black men and a black woman approached them, pulled out a gun and demanded money.

The Katy Police Department released the following tips on Monday to remind holiday shoppers to be careful.

Officials have not released a description of the robbers. Investigators said they believe the incidents are all related, according to the press release.
