Woman Behind F-Trump Sticker Launches GoFundMe For Husband's Bail

SUGAR LAND, TX -- A woman who attracted media attention of Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls while driving around town with a huge F--- Trump sticker on her back windshield, has started a GoFundMe page to bail her husband out of jail.

Karen Fonseca, who locked horns with Nehls over the sticker, and ultimately found herself jailed on fraud charges, launched the "Free Mike Fonseca page, with a goal of raising $1,000 toward his bail, as well as paying the impound fees for their family's GMC pickup.

Miguel Fonseca, 48, was arrested on July 8 in the 15600 block of U.S. 59 by Sugar Land Police officers who noticed there was no front license plate on his pickup.

However, according to Fonseca's GoFundMe page, her husband was pulled over because the window tinting on the pickup was too dark.

While running a check for outstanding warrants, officers discovered Fonseca had a two outstanding warrants for speeding and failure to appear, the Houston Chronicle reported.

Police added resisting arrest to the list of charges.

Karen Fonseca claimed that the family has a disabled child and needed the pickup to get around, and that her husband has the money set aside to pay his outstanding tickets.

The page drew a wealth of unsympathetic responses from many in the area who felt karma had caught up with Fonesca.

" Don't break the law, you will not be arrested...," Chris Woodward wrote.

However, some comments were a bit more harsh, with some taking issue with comments she used in the video posted on her GoFundMe page.

Greg Hamilton wrote: "This has to be a joke right? Y’all are driving a truck around with expletives on the back. What do you expect will happen? You expect the law to be on your side as far as freedom of speech, but you are upset that he was jailed for breaking one and then not paying the fine? Don’t you have issues with using credit cards that aren’t yours? I suggest you look in the mirror as to why all these legal problems are happening. It’s definitely not the 3 white cops that arrested him. You can’t really say they racially profiled him since the tint was illegal and they probably couldn’t see the driver much less his race."

So far, Fonseca has raised $298 toward paying these fines.
