• Taylor, Texas, man charged in injury to a child case in Bell County (kwtx.com) — A 30-year-old Taylor resident was arrested at his home after Bell County investigators linked him to a case involving a severely injured 2-year-old. Authorities say he faces two serious felony charges and is being held on a combined $500,000 bond while the investigation continues.
   

• Three Texas colleges so far advancing semiconductor research and development (thecentersquare.com) — State funding is helping Temple College build a Central Texas Chips Hub in Taylor and expand its Taylor campus, just a few miles from Samsung, to train residents for semiconductor and advanced manufacturing jobs.
