  1. The Victoria Municipal Court has started a new program to help those with addiction. Anyone with nonviolent drug and alcohol-related offenses can participate in a four-hour class session in lieu of a conviction on their record. The program is offered at the Billy T. Cattan Recovery Outreach and is hoping to minimize recurring addiction-related offenses. (Crossroads Today)
  2. An elderly woman was taken to the hospital after an accident at the Blythe and Glascow intersection in Victoria. The woman crossed into oncoming traffic and side-swiped a truck in a 2006 Dodge Caravan. Two men were traveling eastbound in the truck when the crash occurred and were uninjured. The woman has non-life-threatening injuries. (Crossroads Today)
  3. The Victoria Public Library is generating a Master Plan to continue growing local programs and events! This Saturday is the kickoff party for the Summer Fun Fest and reading programs. Last summer, the library hosted over a hundred programs for Victoria residents and partnered with the Ballet Academy of South Texas, Yoga with Blackbird Yoga, and more! There will also be future upgrades to the building, such as expansions and the possibility for lockers to be added. (Victoriatx.gov)
