  1. A business mogul originally from Victoria is being charged with eight counts of felony financial crimes. During attorney general Ken Paxtonโ€™s impeachment, Texan Nate Paul was mentioned as having abused his financial status to mislead people into business deals. Paul had donated $25,000 to Paxtonโ€™s reelection campaign and Paxton is being accused of using his position to assist Paulโ€™s business. Nate Paul is currently in FBI custody in Travis County.   2. Victoriaโ€™s local government and school officials recently completed an active shooter simulation as a training exercise. The full-scale live simulation took place at Howell Middle School and around 40 VISD students and staff participated as actors. The Emergency Management Coordinator Rick McBrayer said that the preparation paid off during the exercise as they were able to execute an effective response to the simulated emergency.   3. Mark your calendar for the Victoria job fair on Jun. 28! The City of Victoria has opportunities open in multiple industries including Police, Fire, Public Works, Library, and more, and representatives will be conducting interviews on the spot.
