• Steven "Steve" Leslie Wheat (therecordlive.com) — Vidor residents are mourning the passing of 81-year-old Steven “Steve” Leslie Wheat, a longtime community member who made Vidor his home for many years. Remembered for his warm spirit, sales career, and love of family, Steve was active with First Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his wife, daughters, brother, and grandsons, all of Vidor.
