Access Physicians, Ascension Texas Launch TeleNeurology Service

Dec. 10, 2021 (Austin, Texas) – Five Ascension Texas facilities are contracting with the nation’s leading multispecialty telemedicine group to bring teleneurology services to their patients. The collaboration with Access Physicians, a division of SOC Telemed, will ensure 24/7 access to specialty neurology care. It will also augment on-site neurology care by providing high-definition video consultation with neurologists on demand for physicians, nurses, and other clinicians.

Through the program, physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff in the hospitals connect with an Access Physicians board-certified neurologist via secure, high-resolution technology in minutes. On-site clinicians have access to the highest level of teleneurology consultation to respond quickly to patients experiencing a stroke and to diagnose and treat patients with epilepsy, severe headaches, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological conditions.

The five facilities are: Ascension Seton Edgar B Davis, Ascension Seton Smithville, Ascension Providence, Ascension Seton Southwest, and Ascension Seton Northwest.
