Meet A Future Leader In Waco: Alastair McGrath

The future of Waco is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Alastair McGrath, who are making a positive impact in and around Waco.
Currently a student at Midway High School, Alastair has demonstrated remarkable intellectual abilities, earning a spot as a 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program Semifinalist. His commitment to his education has already earned him recognition from institutions like Duke University, which named him one of 18 students in 2020 for his impressive SAT and ACT scores when he was only in seventh grade.
Alastair's combination of intellectual talent, academic drive and potential for leadership positions him as a standout young leader, not only in Waco but in the broader academic community. His achievements signal a bright future ahead, with the promise of making an even greater impact in the years to come.
