THE WOODLANDS, TX - There is something for everyone in The Woodlands, which makes staying connected to area happenings an essential enterprise, be it through your local Patch or this list of five Facebook pages that Patch readers in The Woodlands area are invited to follow:
- Conroe Independent School District: The Conroe Independent School District encompasses The Woodlands, Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Conroe and Caney Creek as well as a number of other, smaller towns, communities and unincorporated areas, with an average enrollment growth of approximately 1,500 students each year. Parents have access to information pertaining to student attendance, progress reports and report cards, daily grades, state test results, discipline and available lunch money through the school's main website.
- The Woodlands Arts Council: The Woodlands Arts Council seeks to bridge gaps and cultivate the relationship between art and community. Formed in 2004, the council began as a foundation for the Waterway Arts Festival, which is now a marquee fundraising event for the council's Because Art Matters event. The council functions as a resource for outreach programs and has initiated an art bench project through which artists create a piece of functional art that is incorporated into the surrounding community. The Woodlands has some of the most artwork, per capita, in the nation.

- The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce: The Woodlands Area Chamber maintains the largest membership in the Houston region, with more than 2,400 members using the Chamber's services only a daily basis. Membership opportunities provide area business owners with opportunities—networking breakfasts, Business After Hours events, strategic planning round-table programs, to name a few—to use for streamlining and disseminating their information.
- The Woodlands Township: The Woodlands prides itself as a thriving business community and tourist destination that is known for its balance between man and nature, garnering its appellation from its setting within a natural forest. The township aims to promote effective communication between its municipality and its residents; in a world where social media has become ubiquitous, the township's Facebook page is the premier first stop.
- Montgomery County Memorial Library System: The MCMLS is a public library system with one central library and six branch libraries serving Montgomery County. The network provides year-round programming for children, teens and adults of all ages, free computer training classes and more than 684,000 books, videos and audios. The South Regional Library, The Woodlands branch, offers free computer classes, adult book clubs (Gumshoe Mystery Book Club, Walking Book Club), book clubs for teens and preteens, family game nights and toddler story time.
