Burnt Body Identified as Spring Man

Spring, TX -- Human remains found in a burned car have been positively identified as Kevin Joseph Brown, 47, a resident of Spring. The identification was made by Brown's family members based on evidence found at the scene.

Brown's body was discovered in a burned out Chevrolet Cobalt parked on a private road in Devers, TX, a small town 30 miles from Beaumont. Because of the extensive damage done to the body investigators do not expect to be able to extract DNA from the corpse.

One of the remaining pieces of identifiable information was a license plate that linked the car to Brown's wife.
