Cypress Creek Community Students Earn Honorary Scholarships

Houston Northwest Chamber awarded four scholarships to Klein, Spring, and Aldine ISD students at their annual Scholarship Luncheon.

From Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce: Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce Foundation awarded four scholarships to the high school students from Klein, Spring and Aldine Independent School Districts (ISDs) on April 13, 2017, at their Annual Scholarship Luncheon at the Klein Multipurpose Center. Kiel Fernandez, Roman Kuhn, Jada Davis and Emily Huynh received scholarships sponsored by Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital, Noble Energy, Windwood Church and Lone Star College – University Park respectively.

The luncheon also featured a panel of superintendents: Dr. Bret Champion, Klein ISD; Dr. Rodney Watson, Spring ISD; Dr. Wanda Bamberg, Aldine ISD who discussed the current state of their school districts, legislative updates, and future opportunities.

The attendees enjoyed a performance by the Aldine McArthur Jazz Band, desserts by Klein Culinary Arts students, décor and centerpieces by Klein ISD CTE Floral Students, and color posting by the Spring ISD Law Enforcement Honor Guard of Carl Wunsche Sr. High School. The event was sponsored by Prairie View A & M University.

The Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce Annual Scholarship Luncheon gathers educators, students and Cypress Creek community to honor outstanding students and showcase their talents.
