Election Day 2018: The Results Are In For The Woodlands

It was a huge turnout for local races, with many incumbents winning big in the midterm races.

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- The 2018 midterm election was one of the most closely watched in the last two decades, with many wondering just how the leadership could change in the State of Texas and in both chambers of the legislative branch.

As far as Congress is concerned, there would be no change as U.S. Rep Kevin Brady easily won a new term in the House of Representatives, defeating Tomball Democrat Steven David's first bid for elected office.

Brady, who has served in the House since 1997, was declared the winner with 5 percent of the precincts reporting with Brady winning nearly 132,000 votes, or 74 percent of the ballots to David's 44,388 ballots.
