Man Who Robbed Chase Bank in Woodlands Gets 54 years in Prison

A man who robbed the Chase Bank on West Panther Creek in The Woodlands was sentenced to 54 years in prison.

THE WOODLANDS, TX — When Keith Stephens, 28, was waiting outside the Chase Bank on West Panther Creek it was doubtful he thoughgt he'd be in his 80's before he breathed free air.

Stephens was the shot caller for a stick-up crew that hit the bank on June 27, 2014. He coordinated traffic — confirmed with the person casing the bank that there weren't any armed guards, told the guys with the guns when to enter the bank.

A few weeks after The Woodlands job the crew hit a bank out in Katy, which really upset the feds. If there's one thing the G hates it's serial bank robbers.

So when the FBI caught Stephens the DOJ threw the book at him, a total of 649 months in federal prison for both robberies. Sentences to be served consecutively not concurrently.
