• The Woodlands' New First Fifty Sculpture Will Mark the Passage Of Time, Bringing More Than 400 New Trees (papercitymag.com) — A major new landmark is rising where Woodlands Parkway meets Grogan’s Mill Road, marking the community’s first concrete pour and 50th anniversary while adding more than 400 new trees and extensive landscaping. The ‘First Fifty’ sculpture will function like a giant timepiece, with markers for each year since 1974 and golden trees symbolizing all eight villages. Expect erosion fixes, preserved canopy, and a more striking gateway as work finishes in early 2026.
