Tomball Host Depot Day At Tomball Railroad Museum Site

Come on out and see the amazing exhibits at the Tomball Depot for the first ever Depot Day.

TOMBALL, TX — It's National Railroad Month and if you're one of those who loves the sound of trains rumbling over a trestle, you've want to be in Tomball for Depot Day. Lovers of locomotives are invited to the depot on Saturday. Admission and parking are free. Doors open at 10 a.m.

Featured exhibits include:

  • The “Golden~Blackhawk & Central City Model Railway”, a multi-award winning “Z” scale layout set inside the freight room of the historic 1907 Depot.
  • The “Tomball & Walden Model Railway”, the City’s 150-square-foot “O” scale Lionel layout built inside a vintage 1971 caboose.
  • The Houston Area “G” Gaugers Club will be setting up an 800-square-foot Garden scale display on the grounds outside of the Depot building
  • Several displays of tin litho-style wind-up toy trains from the mid-1900s

The Depot museum will also be open during the event with music, a reading program, a wide assortment of railroad memorabilia, art, equipment and tools, artifacts and more.

The Depot is at 201 South Elm Street in downtown Tomball – 77375.
