Town Green Park Getting New Grass
Town Green Park in The Woodlands is getting a major makeover that will feature improved drainage.
The Woodlands, TX -- Town Green Park is getting a face lift. The popular 4-acre park will have new turfgrass and a new drainage system. Construction at the park, which started on July 7, will last until Labor Day.
The project will require the excavation of 5 inches of existing ground and then rebuilding the park with a drain system, composed of sand and aggregate material. Construction crews will also add a 1.5-inch plastic grid system and then top it all off with natural grass.
The upgrades are designed to help improve drainage, reduce muddy areas and help the park deal with heavy pedestrian use. Part of the reason for the improvements is the increasing number of events that are held at the park.
