The Woodlands Calls For Youth Art Entries For Arts In The Park

The Woodlands Township is looking for amazing your art entries for the 11th Annual Arts In the Park

THE WOODLANDS, TX– Hey parents, don't forget to remind your kids about this year's Youth Art Contest at the 11th annual Spring Arts in the Park. The fun happens on Saturday, March 9, at Rob Fleming Park, from 2 to 6 p.m.

The contest is open to kids and teens, 18 years and under. Submissions will be accepted through March 1 at 5 p.m., at The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd.

The theme of this year's contest is Art in Public Places. The Woodlands is home to more than 50 outdoor sculptures along with 20 art benches and continues to grow each year.

With stunning visual displays in each village, art is everywhere. Submissions for the Youth Art Contest should focus on any of these impressive pieces of art with the artist’s own unique interpretation of their beauty.

The Youth Art Contest is open to artists 18 years and under and includes three age categories: 7 years and younger, 8 to 12 years and 13 to 18 years old.

Submissions will be on display at the event. First, second and third place winners from each category will be recognized on stage during the event.

Arts in the Park is a free, family-friendly event that celebrates art, music and drama in the local community.

The event also features local vendors selling their original artwork, children's activities and live entertainment.

Bring lawn chairs, grab a bite to eat at the food trucks and enjoy live stage performances.
