President Trump has thrown his weight behind Republican Karen Handel, making it certain — as if it weren't already — that the race's results will be read as a referendum on the administration. Supreme Court Says Trademarks Can Be Offensive

Trademark applicants will no longer have to worry that their words may be deemed offensive, following Monday's Supreme Court ruling. The justices held on First Amendment grounds that the government cannot ban words from becoming trademarks simply because they constitute hate speech. This may end up benefiting Washington's football team, which had its trademark rejected for these now-invalid reasons. (Patch)

Health Care Reform Moves Along, But What's In The Bill?

Democrats in the Senate took to the chamber floor Monday night to protest the Republicans' health care bill, which has been crafted behind closed doors and with no public input. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stood fast against the requests for additional transparency by the Democrats, refusing to even say that the Senate could have more than 10 hours to review and amend the bill before it goes to a vote.
