'I Vaccinated Santa Claus Myself': Dr. Anthony Fauci

During a recent children's town hall, the country's top infectious disease expert said he provided Santa with the COVID-19 vaccine.

ACROSS AMERICA — Not even the coronavirus pandemic can stop Santa Claus from delivering toys to all the good boys and girls this Christmas. Ol' Saint Nick will be safely coming to town this year, according to the country's top infectious disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

During a CNN-Sesame Street town hall Saturday, Santa's ability — or lack thereof — to deliver presents during a pandemic caused a bit of concern among some children who participated in the event, which focused on staying healthy during the holidays.

"Is it safe for him to go on the house?" asked Lucy, 8, from Rafael, CA.

"How can Santa Claus safety get our presents with COVID-19 spreading everyone," wondered Connor, 9, from Mount Holly, NJ.

"Will Santa still be able to visit me in coronavirus's season?" asked 6-year-old Paxton from Geneva, IL.

Dr. Fauci was able to quickly put their minds at rest and assure them that Christmas will go on without a hitch.

"I took care of that for you, because I was worried that you'd all be upset," Dr. Fauci replied. "So what I did a little while ago, I took a trip up there to the North Pole, I went there and I vaccinated Santa Claus myself."

Fauci added that he measured his level of immunity, and that Santa has been given the green light to continue his job as an essential worker, delivering lots of goodies and plenty smiles and joy to children all over the globe.

"He can come down the chimney, he can leave the presents, he can leave, and you have nothing to worry about," Fauci said.

In addition to whether Santa Claus would be on the job this Christmas, the town hall also addressed when kids might be able to get the vaccine, if the vaccine hurts and when they might be able to see their friends again.
