Johns Creek Coronavirus: Events, Sports, Rentals Canceled
Recreational events, a summer concert and other upcoming events have been canceled.
JOHNS CREEK, GA — Six events scheduled in April and May in Johns Creek have been cancelled, the city announced in a press release Tuesday. The decision to cancel the recreational events, along with alls ports leagues and facility rentals, was made in an effort to stop the spread of the new coronavirus.
The following events have been canceled:
- Free Outdoor Fitness – Sundays, April 5, 19, 26; May 3
- Adaptive Recreation Bocce Ball - Tuesdays, April 7, 21; May 5
- Pitch, Hit & Run – Saturday, April 25
- Summer Concert featuring 7 Bridges Road – Friday, May 1
- Public Works ‘Touch A Truck” & Community Safety Day – Saturday, May 2
- Adaptive Recreation Summer Kickoff Picnic – Saturday, May 9
- All sports leagues (Newtown Recreation and Ocee Park Recreation) are canceled through May 10
- All park facility rentals (pavilion, clubhouse, etc.) are canceled through May 10
The grand opening of the Wall That Heals Vietnam Veterans Memorial has also been postponed, the city announced. The grand opening will be rescheduled, but a date has not yet been selected.

The City of Johns Creek has also cancelled the March 28 Easter Egg Dash and the March 29 Special Needs Spring Fling.
