Colbert: 'What the hell does he think the T in LGBT stands for? Trump?' [Late-night Clip Of The Day]

One of Stephen Colbert's favorite comic foils is President Trump, and on Wednesday the late-night host took aim at Trump's early morning tweets in which he said transgender individuals would be banned from the U.S. military. Trump ended his run of tweets with "thank you." Colbert wasn't having it.

'"Thank you? F--- you," the comedian said. "Why the hell would he do this? This isn't even one of his campaign promises, he went on. "Back in the campaign, he tweeted this:"

Thank you to the LGBT community! I will fight for you while Hillary brings in more people that will threaten your freedoms and beliefs.

"What the hell does he think the T in LGBT stands for? Trump? Tomato?"

Trump's ruling adds insult to injury, he said. "They are being rejected by a rich guy who during Vietnam sidestepped the draft with four deferments and a medical disqualification for bone spurs in his foot."
