Flooding In White House Basement Reported (Photos)
Heavy rains in the D.C. area resulted in some flooding in the basement of the White House.

WASHINGTON, DC — Torrential rain hammered the D.C. area on Monday morning, causing widespread flash floods and even some flooding in the basement of the White House.
Multiple people tweeted out photos of water pooling on the floor in the underground area of the West Wing where many journalists work.
Maintenance workers arrived soon after to clean up the mess.
