Joe Biden Offers Remarks In Friday Visit To Minnesota
Biden's trip to Minnesota coincides with the beginning of early voting in the state.

DULUTH, MN — Former vice president and Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden is heading to Minnesota on Friday to visit a union training center in the town of Duluth, near the Wisconsin border.
At the same time, President Donald Trump is set to host a "Great American Comeback" rally at an airport in the town of Bemidji.
The Associated Press reports both 2020 candidates are avoiding urban cores on Friday, opting instead to visit rural and working-class areas on the state's first day of early voting, which runs through Nov. 2.

According to the report, several recent polls show Biden has a consistent lead over Trump in Minnesota. The state has not broken for a Republican presidential candidate since 1972.
Still, Duluth Mayor Emily Larson told the AP she sees more yard signs supporting Trump than Biden, and that the president has "been very good" about visibility in and around the town.
CBS Minnesota reports Friday marks Biden's first visit to Minnesota on the campaign trail but comes only nine days after his wife, Jill Biden, visited Prior Lake elementary school in the Twin Cities. On that day, Trump hosted a rally in Duluth.
The following day, Trump's daughter-in-law visited the Twin Cities, according to the report.
