Obamas' Book Deal Breaks $60 Million In Bidding War: Report
Michelle and President Obama are writing separate books but selling the rights together, according to the Financial Times.

A book deal for memoirs by President Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama has garnered record-breaking bids in an auction for publication rights, reaching more than $60 million, according to sources cited by the Financial Times.
The pair will write separate books but are selling the rights jointly, according to the report. Penguin Random House and HarperCollins are reportedly interested in publishing the sought-after memoirs. The former president has authored three books. He wrote "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope" prior to his presidency and "Of Thee I Sing," a children's book, which was published while he was in office. Audiobook versions of "Dreams from My Father" and "The Audacity of Hope" both won Obama Grammy awards for Best Spoken Word Album, and the latter won him an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literature. Both were New York Times bestsellers.
